Café Wind Barrier
Di Pacci Café Wind Barrier
The Di Pacci café wind barrier is a freestanding screen for footpath and courtyard seating, with the Di Pacci logo printed on the panel and a steel frame powder-coated for life outdoors — in 1m and 2m widths so it fits around your tables rather than the other way round.
Two widths do the job between them: the 2m runs along the open side of a row of tables, and the 1m closes off the ends or fills a gap next to a doorway. The frame is steel with a double outdoor powder coating, painted on both faces, so the finish holds up to rain, sun and the daily knock of chairs without chipping back to bare metal in the first season.
It's the branding that marks out the Di Pacci showrooms, carried onto the street at eye level as people walk past. If you stock Di Pacci coffee, a barrier does two things a rope or planter can't: it defines your seating area for council purposes and it tells passers-by whose coffee they're walking past.
Key Features of the Di Pacci Wind Barrier
Mix 2m runs with 1m fillers to wrap a seating area exactly, instead of leaving a half-panel gap or overhanging the neighbour's frontage.
A single coat chips where chairs and cleaning trolleys clip the frame, and steel rusts from that chip outward; the second coat and full double-sided painting are what keep the frame looking new past the first winter.
Steel is heavier than aluminium, and for a barrier that's the point — it sits flat on the footpath without lifting in a gust or shifting when a chair is pushed back into it.
The logo is printed on the panel where people walking past actually look, so the barrier works as shopfront signage as well as a wind screen.

Who This Barrier Is For
- Have footpath or courtyard seating that needs a clear edge from the walkway
- Stock Di Pacci coffee or equipment and want the brand visible at street level
- Trade on a corner or open frontage where wind cools cups and lifts napkins
- Need panels in two widths to fit an awkward or narrow frontage
- Want something heavy enough to stay put but movable at open and close
- Want a plain or your-own-logo panel — this one carries Di Pacci branding only
- Need a fixed, permanent screen bolted to the pavement — this is a freestanding barrier
- Have to carry barriers up stairs or a long way each day — steel is heavier than an aluminium frame, and the 2m in particular is a two-person lift
- Need full-height wind protection over about head height — this is a seating-height barrier
Di Pacci Café Wind Barrier — Frequently Asked Questions
Should I get the 1m or the 2m wind barrier?
Use 2m panels for the long open side of your seating and 1m panels to close the ends or fill a gap beside a door. Measure the frontage you want to enclose and work out the mix from that — most cafés run two or three 2m panels along the kerb side with a 1m at each end.
Can the barriers be left outside in the weather?
Yes. The steel frame carries a double outdoor powder coating painted on both faces, which is what stops rust starting where the finish gets knocked. Most cafés still bring barriers in at close for security rather than for weather.
Can I get the panel plain or with my own logo?
This listing is the Di Pacci branded panel only. If you're a Di Pacci stockist and want to talk about branding for your venue, call (02) 9758 0760.
Will the barrier blow over in wind?
A steel-framed barrier is considerably heavier than the aluminium café barriers sold elsewhere, and that weight is what keeps it standing in a normal breeze. In genuinely strong wind, bring any freestanding barrier in — no unfixed screen is rated to stay up in a gale.
Does it work with the Di Pacci café umbrella?
Yes — the barrier and the 2m Di Pacci café umbrella are designed as a set. Barriers along the kerb edge and an umbrella over each table gives you a defined, shaded, branded seating area from a couple of products.
