Precision GS1 Filter Coffee Grinder

Ghost Burrs · Micrometric Adjustment · 10 Stepped Settings · Front Push Button + Rear Switch · Stainless Steel Dosing Cup · 250g Hopper · 180W — Gloss Black

The Precision GS1 is a compact, purpose-built filter coffee grinder from Precision Coffee Tools — designed specifically for all types of filter and manual brewing methods. Where most budget grinders ask you to compromise on burr quality or grind consistency, the GS1 uses Ghost burrs — a burr geometry engineered to produce a more uniform particle size distribution, resulting in a cleaner, sweeter cup with less bitter fines. It is a genuine filter grinder, not a repurposed espresso grinder with a wider range.

The GS1 offers two convenient activation modes: a front push button for hands-free on-demand grinding, and a rear ON/OFF switch for continuous manual grinding. Micrometric grind adjustment with 10 stepped settings lets you dial between filter methods with precision — from fine AeroPress through to coarse French press. The included stainless steel dosing cup catches grounds cleanly and transfers them directly to your dripper or device with minimal waste. At 120 × 220 × 360mm and 3.5kg, it has a genuinely compact footprint that fits beside any home brewing setup. Available in gloss black.

Key Features
Burrs Ghost Burrs — Consistent Particle Size for Filter Ghost burr geometry is engineered specifically for filter coffee — producing a more uniform particle distribution than standard burrs at this price point. More consistent grinding means more even extraction, a cleaner taste, reduced bitterness from fines, and a sweeter, more expressive cup across all filter brewing methods
Grind Adjustment Micrometric Adjustment — 10 Stepped Settings Ten stepped grind settings give you clear, repeatable positions across the filter range — from fine (AeroPress, moka pot) through to coarse (French press, cold brew). Micrometric adjustment means each step is meaningfully distinct for extraction changes, rather than being too coarse or too fine to make a difference
Activation Two Grinding Modes — Push Button + Rear Switch Front push button activates the grinder hands-free — press it once and grind, making it easy to control dose intuitively. The rear ON/OFF switch activates continuous grinding for those who prefer a set-and-leave approach. Two modes gives you flexibility depending on your preferred brewing workflow
Dosing Stainless Steel Dosing Cup — Clean Transfer, Minimal Waste The included stainless steel cup catches grounds cleanly as they exit the grinder and transfers them directly to your dripper, AeroPress, or filter device. Stainless steel generates less static than plastic — reducing grounds retention and making for a cleaner, more precise dose transfer

Frequently Asked Questions
The GS1 and GSP are both Precision Coffee Tools grinders, but designed for different purposes. The GS1 is a dedicated filter grinder — it uses Ghost burrs optimised for filter brewing methods (pour over, French press, AeroPress, drip) and has 10 stepped grind settings across a coarser range. The GSP is an on-demand espresso grinder with 60mm flat burrs and stepless adjustment, designed primarily for espresso extraction. If your primary brewing method is filter or manual, the GS1 is the right choice. If you brew mostly espresso, the GSP is designed for that purpose.
Ghost burrs are a specific burr geometry designed to produce a more bimodal or uniform particle size distribution — meaning more of the grounds are a consistent size, with fewer ultra-fine particles (fines) and fewer oversized chunks (boulders). In filter coffee, particle consistency directly affects extraction evenness: if too many fines are present, they extract faster and can contribute bitterness; too many boulders mean underextraction. Ghost burrs help produce a cleaner, more balanced, and more expressive cup across all filter brewing methods.
The GS1 is designed for filter coffee and its grind range is optimised for filter brewing methods — from fine AeroPress through to coarse French press. While the finest setting on the GS1 can produce a grind usable in a moka pot or stovetop espresso maker, it is not designed or recommended for use as a dedicated espresso grinder. For espresso, Di Pacci recommends the Precision GSP (push) or stepping up to a purpose-built espresso grinder. For personalised advice, call Di Pacci on (02) 9758 0760.
